Considering options for my singles portfolio

I have been attempting to come up with a fresh edit of my portfolio of single images for the photojournalism section of my Web site, and have already shown one version to one of my professors. However, I am going to show it to a group of people in another day (on a projection screen), and would like it to be as polished as possible before it gets torn apart again. Any comments (about the images themselves, or their order in the sequence) are more than welcome!
I would start with one of your portraits. Or something that you lit. It’s your strength and you should show it off instead of hiding it at the end. Nice images.
