Thirty Days – Day Three

Alleyway off of Ninth Street

Alleyway off of Ninth Street lit by emergency flashers, Columbia, Mo. | Canon 7D and 16-35mm f/2.8L II lens @ 31mm; exposed 1/10 sec. @ f/2.8, ISO 4000

While wandering through the streets of Columbia, I found that a car was parked off of the street, in an alleyway, with its hazard / emergency lights flashing.  The light in the alleyway wasn’t particularly interesting (you can see the “natural” light on the right edge of the frame) but the car lights were creating an orange/red glow off of the brick.  As always, comments welcome!

Thirty Days – Day Two

(No) Thanks to my cable Internet connection dying last night, I was unable to post my second in a series of thirty days of photographic posts on the evening of the 4th:

Freezing rain on a car windshield.

(Freezing) Rain falling on my wind(shield) pane. | Canon 7D and 16-35mm f/2.8L II lens @ 34mm; exposed 1/40 sec. @ f/2.8, ISO 2500

It’s one of the most abstract images I’ve made in some time, and possibly one of my best in a few months.  As always, comments welcome!
