		<description>There&#039;s no doubt that the 50mm f/1.8 is a tremendous bargain--from Canon and Nikon, actually--in that you get a lot of &quot;bang for the buck.&quot;  But what I will say is that the 50mm f/1.4 is a huge leap above that because of the better contrast and bokeh, and Canon&#039;s 50mm f/1.2L is worlds beyond even that lens.  Do you need it?  No.  But when you want the look that it can give you, there is no substitute.</description>
