			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is an image I made on my way back to my car last night after working in the journalism school library for a couple of hours.  I was only parked on the third floor, but decided to go up to the roof (sixth floor) for a different perspective.  Next time, I&#8217;ll take my tripod and tilt/shift lens.  It&#8217;s nice to take the occasional break from photojournalism!</p>

<p>Walking around tonight with an assignment from the J School to photograph with my camera set to tungsten/incandescent, I became fairly bored after a few hours.  So, I decided to mess with some zoom blurs!</p>
<p>Generally speaking, zoom blurs work best for me when zooming from wide angle to telephoto.  Other people seem to be able to go the other way, but I can&#8217;t do it to save my life. <strong>More after the jump&#8230;</strong><br />

Both of these images were captured with a 24-70 lens, exposed for 1/8 second at ISO 1600, f/8 for the street scene and f/10 for the parking garage.  Clearly, I could have lowered the ISO, but these were made on the Canon 5D Mark II, so noise isn&#8217;t really a concern at ISO 1600.</p>
